Sir Alex Ferguson tells Man United to sign John McGinn, £50m seals move

Manchester United legendary coach, Sir Alex Ferguson is still playing an advisory role to his former club despite his departure since 2013.

The Sun in an exclusive report claims that Ferguson wants the Red Devils to sign Aston Villa midfielder, John McGinn this summer.

The report disclosed that the former Manager may be pushing for the 24-year old based on the personal relationship with his grandfather and also because he is his compatriot.

Should Man Utd decide to push for the transfer deal, they would have to table £50 million before the Villains would consider to let him leave.

McGinn is a box-to-box midfielder and quite good considering the level of the club he plays at.

However, the Red Devils would be better off signing a much more experienced midfielder such as Sergej Millinkovic-Savic from Lazio.

United are also linked with a move for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff but it looks as though the club are no longer keen as Newcastle are not willing to part ways with their star midfielder.
