Tottenham ended their three-window transfer in spectacular fashion by signing Winger Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele from Leeds United and Lyon respectively.
Spurs have just pulled off a club-record £65m deal for Ndombele but it looks as though they are not contented to rest on their oars.
According to a report from Spain, the north London club are in talks over a deal to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer.
It is further reported that Mauricio Pochettino has managed to seal a loan transfer for the 22-year-old. It is understood Tottenham have the option of signing Ceballos on a permanent transfer for around £54m upon completion of the loan spell.
Ceballos has been strongly linked with a move to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool but it is Tottenham who are reported to have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals to agree a deal with Madrid.
Ceballos made 19 starts for Madrid last term but he recently stated his desire to play more regular football. The signing of Éder Militia this summer will further push the player down the pecking order of midfielders at the club.
Meanwhile Madrid are also keen on signing Tottenham contract rebel Christian Eriksen.
